Sabor a Cabo celebrates 13 years of supporting the gastronomy of Southern California

  • More than 60 restaurants and 20 renowned winemakers will join in the 13th annual Sabor a Cabo and feature a performance by Miguel Bose.

November 25, 2018, Los Cabos, Baja California Sur – On December 1st, renowned chefs and winemakers nationwide will mark the 13th edition of Sabor a Cabo, a flavorful festival that embraces and promotes the gastronomy of Sudcalifornia.

Quivira Los Cabos will create the scene where more than 60 restaurants and 20 winemakers offer samples of exquisite cuisines paired with a wide selection of wines, tequilas, and mezcals. More than three thousand guests will enjoy the beauty of the Los Cabos desert while experiencing the musical talents of Miguel Bose.

The festival, in addition to demonstrating a passion for Mexican gastronomy, was created to improve the community of Los Cabos through donations to different institutions. In this way, Sabor a Cabo reinforces the social commitment to the destination. This year, contributions will benefit Firefighters, the Mexican Red Cross, Los Cabos Children Foundation and the Letty Coppel Foundation.

Gianmarco Vela, President of the National Chamber of the Industry of Restaurants and Seasoned Food of BCS (CANIRAC), stated, “This event clearly meets the goal of demonstrating the gastronomy of Los Cabos to the world. We are very pleased to see how the festival has grown year after year. Today, it is an event of international stature and welcomes thousands of tourists from all over the world.” Rodrigo Esponda, Director of the Tourism Trust of Los Cabos, stressed that “The destination will close the 2018 calendar of activities with the culinary event Sabor a Cabo. The festival has become one of the most important events in Los Cabos that complements tourist opportunities.

Likewise, Hilda Lozano Calderon, Director of Social Communication of CANIRAC, said she was proud to be part of such an important gastronomic event at a national level. The chefs and winemakers embody the dishes of Southern California. The press conference included chef Angel Carbajal of the restaurant Nick-san and Vicenzo Balzano of Sunset Monalisa who delighted the audience with samples of their talent.
